WEB Flying spiders, otherwise known as ballooning spiders, are a unique type of arachnid
Despite their name, they don't actually fly like birds. Instead, they release a long strand of silk into the air, which catches the wind and carries them away.
These spiders can grow up to 13mm and can be found in hedgerows, woodland, and gardens across Britain from June to October.
